We have been developing automation system to pick and place food in processing factories by harnessing tactile sensors for robots. The tactile sensors are vision-based tactile sensors that provides rich tactile sensation as well as proximity sensing.
Now, there are various types of technical approach to automate the pick-and-place tasks. To meet both business and technical requirements which are quite difficult to achieve, not only computer vision and high-precision motion control but also tactile feedback are required.
